Groups rescued from Cramond Island after being cut off by tide
20 AugustTwo groups have had to be rescued from Cramond Island in the last week, after becoming stranded by the advancing tide.
A group of seven teenagers who were enjoying a 'punk rave' on the island had to be rescued by lifeboat when they became stranded.
Three boys and four girls, all aged 15, were rescued by South Queensferry Inshore Lifeboat at around 6.10am on Sunday 15th August.
The rescue follows another incident in June when hundreds of ravers had to be rescued from the island after a 'rave' organised on the social networking site Bebo attracted over 500 dancers.
Two Italian students, both female, were also rescued from the island at around 4.15pm on Saturday 14th August after becoming stranded.
